It wasn't an easy task to create identity according to clients requirements. They wanted to have kind, cordial, simple, original identity with conservative look. The biggest inspiration for visual look was the theater philosophy: "Our theater is for anyone, not everybody." Theaters in general are focused on culture, and this should be visible in the identity.
The main visual part of the logo is typeface Du Nord. Du Nord was designed as modern humanistic grotesk. On the first look, typeface act very elegant and classical, but thanks to little interesting details gets the same ratio between seriousness and humor as Slovack theater has. Added line, substituting "l" a "i" in words "Slovácké" and "divadlo" (theater), quietly but strongly connects both words representing tradition, history, institution and culture. Thanks to line, the full variant of the logo with a city name "Uherské Hradiště" becomes a one integrated piece as strongly as the theater is connected to city in a reality.
Additional typeface Torrent adds another significant visual element. Also Torrent helps spectators to easily orientate themselfs on print materials (The most important informations are visible immediately thanks to strong Torrent typeface).
